How Does Hotel Room Automation and GRMS Work?
GRMS manages lighting, air conditioning and room conditions in the guest room in a common control architecture. The aim is for the guest to provide comfort with simple use and for the business to monitor the rooms with understandable status information.
Tasks of the room controller
Controller; It can read door and window contacts, buttons, thermostat and selected sensors. DND do not disturb and MUR room cleaning requests are transferred to the operating screen only if the relevant interface is available. The number of inputs and outputs, voltage levels and fault behavior must be specified in a point list.
PMS, BMS and local work
PMS manages hospitality operation, BMS building systems; It is not the same system. Integration requires a manufacturer-supplied interface, access authorization and data dictionary. Design how basic room functions will continue when the network connection is interrupted. An internet interruption should not render the light switch unusable.
Pilot room and acceptance scenarios
Guest entry and exit, air conditioning with the window open, night light, cleaning mode and power outage are tested. It cannot be rolled out to all rooms without verifying the user experience in the pilot room. Delivering a parameter list, backup method and maintenance document to the business is determined as part of the scope.
